It blows my mind when people say they have never had a passport or even traveled and seen more than their hometown/neighboring State. Yet they get paid occasionally and spend money on things they’ll forget soon. A passport for U.S. Citizens costs ONLY $135. You can travel anywhere and everywhere with it. The first step is always getting the passport, then you’ll experience magic.

from Tim Chaddick:
and thank Him for what you have and all that you’re given… cause that’s real love given through grace.

project I was helping with all last semester was put to a halt. Why? Because NIV asked for $8,000 or the whole thing would have to be shut down.
In other words, we need to pay someone 8k to carry out a project where the simple idea is convenience and sharing God’s message. I understand the translation is copyrighten but they’re trying to put a price tag on free distribution of “God’s Word”. I would understand if we were trying to use it for profit… but we’re obviously not.
If someone remixes a song and lets everyone download it for free, it’s perfectly legal. That’s how mashups exist. Regardless, the whole idea of charging someone to spread the Gospel seems a little backwards. Anyone else see something wrong with this?!
